So you want to be a mediator?We offer the foundation courses to becoming an accredited family mediator - the Fundamentals of Family Mediation and Advanced Family Mediation.
Through these two courses, you will develop the foundational skills and knowledge to effectively mediate family disputes in your community. We're the Mediation Training Centre, a training team with over 50 years of combined mediation and training experience. We are mediation practitioners who are mediating every week. We bring this practical hands on experience to our training. This is no ivory tower theoretical training! We are committed to sharing our experience, insights and knowledge with those who would like to begin helping families resolve disputes in sensible and creative ways. Every bit of theory that we teach is immediately interwoven with real life case studies, spontaneous demo's and interactive role plays. We are based in Toronto and currently offer these two foundational mediation courses in Toronto. We also offer customized trainings and workshops which we will bring to your community. |
Meet Our TrainersThe key to mediating well is having knowledge, understanding, and respect for the process. Our team of accredited mediators brings their wealth of experiences and perspectives to the classroom, as we share what works and what doesn't. We encourage all of our participants to be thoughtful and strategic and empower them with the tools they need to achieve successful results as a mediator. We have a roster of guest speakers that bring unique expertise and insight to our courses.

Advanced Family Mediation
This is a three day course designed to solidify the fundamentals and hone your skills as a mediator. You will engage with more complex matters and be provided opportunities to test and build upon your skills through experiential role plays and discussions.
